AWANA

AWANA Logo Clear Fork Alliance Church is pleased to offer AWANA for children on Wednesday evenings. AWANA is an acronym that stands for Approved Workman Are Not Ashamed and is a reference to 2 Timothy 2:15. This world wide Bible based ministry is age based for children 3 years old through 6th grade. A major emphasis is placed on Bible memory as well as teaching Biblical truth and having fun with friends.

AWANA at Clear Fork Alliance Church is from September through April. Meetings are Wednesday nights from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. and include council time, handbook time, and game time. Council time is the primary instructional time at AWANA and consists of Bible stories or object lessons taught by the AWANA leaders. During handbook time, children have the opportunity to progress through their handbooks and earn awards by reciting Bible verses and other memorized passages to their leaders. Game time is just what it says: games! Visitors to AWANA are able to participate in all of these activities and also receive an introductory handbook to work through. Once a member, all children receive a full handbook as well as a uniform (t-shirt or vest) on which awards are attached.
